Coastal Cloud, the #1 ranked Salesforce consultancy, sought to enhance their physical presence at Dreamforce by driving additional traffic to their booth and breakout lounge through targeted digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising. 

Challenge

Although Coastal Cloud had a prime location at Dreamforce, they needed to ensure their presence stood out in a crowded expo, driving foot traffic and engagement.

Objective

To increase visibility and amplify Coastal Cloud’s physical presence by leveraging programmatic DOOH ads around key Dreamforce locations. For the four days of Dreamforce in San Francisco, we wanted Coastal Cloud to be everywhere.

Strategy

AdVenture Media Group (AMG) developed a comprehensive strategy, placing DOOH ads in high-traffic areas like Ubers, airports, and other screens surrounding the Dreamforce conference. These ads were designed to capture the attention of Salesforce professionals, enhancing awareness of Coastal Cloud’s booth and lounge.

Implementation

Programmatic DOOH Ads: The ads appeared across key touchpoints—Ubers, airports, and nearby screens—to build brand awareness.

UTM Tracking: Campaign performance was tracked using UTM codes to identify display/CPC sessions.

Geographic Targeting: Ads were concentrated in San Francisco and San Jose to capture the local conference audience.

Results

152.92% Uplift in San Francisco: Website sessions in San Francisco increased by 152.92%, showing significant engagement with the DOOH ads.

173.93% Uplift in San Jose: Similarly, San Jose experienced a 173.93% increase in sessions.

Increased Brand Search Volume: Google Trends showed a significant spike in searches for “Coastal Cloud” after the event, highlighting increased brand awareness.

Physical Presence Impact: Anecdotal evidence from Coastal Cloud suggested the campaign’s success, with high foot traffic and great attendance at their booth and lounge events.

Conclusion

The Dreamforce DOOH campaign effectively boosted Coastal Cloud’s brand visibility, driving both digital and physical engagement. The combination of programmatic advertising and a strong on-site presence allowed Coastal Cloud to capitalize on Dreamforce’s massive audience, further solidifying their position as a leading Salesforce consultancy.
